Dr. Tyler Tate grew up in Southlake, Texas and graduated from Carroll High School before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Tate earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Tate began working with his father, Dr. John Michael Tate at Tate Family Dentistry. Having a desire for further surgical and comprehensive dental training, Dr. Tate went back to school fulltime and completed a residency program in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry. This residency gave Dr. Tate an additional skillset in aesthetic, comprehensive restorative, sedation and implant dentistry.
Dr. Tate is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Orthodontic Society, and has completed the Master’s program through the Center for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Tate strives to continually further his knowledge in order to provide his patients with the highest level of care.
Married to his high school sweetheart, Dr. Tate and his wife, Tara, have three children- Andy, Evie and Anna. When he isn’t working, you will often find him playing outside with his kids, at First Baptist Church of Grapevine, or spending time with family and friends.
